they like and don't like. However, color theory, design, and composition can all be broken down into some fairly accepted theories. The trouble with "personal tastes" is that they are mostly based on bias and emotion. "Likes and dislikes" have nothing to do with it, and that is the first and hardest lesson for anyone with an "eye" toward design and the arts to understand. Anyone can "like" something or not. The guy that wears plaid Berumda shorts, a striped shirt, socks and sandals "likes" his style. There is no accounting for taste or opinion if you can't explain it, nor defend it.
